Marc Kolman Named New Executive Director

Marc Kolman, MSPH, is the Consortium's new Executive Director, assuming this position on December 1st.  Mr. Kolman has over 20 years of experience administering public health programs including serving as County Health Director for eight years in Person and Anson counties.  Since joining the Consortium in 2006, Mr. Kolman has administered several service-related programs including: BRIGHT, a groundbreaking motivational case management program for HIV-infected individuals being released from prison in cooperation with the UNC Center for Infectious Diseases and the NC Department of Correction; an HIV/HCV Harm Reduction Program in cooperation with the NC Division of Public Health and statewide partners including the NC Harm Reduction Coalition and the Western NC AIDS Project, and PHICAS, an HIV/HCV Co-Infection intervention in cooperation with US HRSA's Healthy Communities Access Program.  Mr. Kolman received his MSPH from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration and can be reached at marc@piedmontconsortium.org or 919-682-3998.

Beth Stringfield, the Piedmont Consortium's Executive Director for the past seven years has begun a new position as Program Director for the North Carolina Community AIDS Fund based at the Duke University Center for Health Policy's Health Inequalities Program.
