Vision and Mission statements:

Agency Description
The Piedmont HIV Health Care Consortium was founded in 1991 with the availability of Ryan White CARE Act funding in North Carolina. The Consortium became an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 1992. Until 2006, the Consortium's principal programs were the provision of Ryan White Part B and HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS) services in an 11-county area of central NC, including Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Johnston, Lee, Orange, Person, Vance, Wake, and Warren counties. The Consortium's vision and mission has expanded to reflect changes in the HIV epidemic that include advances in prevention and treatment as well the changing epidemiology of the disease.
The organization has been expanding its mission for the last several years, and in June 2009 the Consortium's Board of Directors adopted new vision and mission statements as well as formally changed the organization's name to the Piedmont Health Care Consortium.
